As the business bloomed, so did the customers, we became the supplier to Franks Nurseries, 50+ stores as well as other greenhouses and garden centers. In the 80's Grandpa "retired" and his son and daughter-in-law, Don and Tina VanThomme took over the business.

In 1990 Plant Masters was moved "up North", greenhouse by greenhouse, and opened in Suttons Bay as a retail Garden Center.

Although, the world and the greenhouse business has changed since the 1940's, we still grow our own plants the "old fashioned way", which shows through in our quality and selection.
